New Home – Baltimore

As many of you know we recently lost a TAB member because her father received a job in Baltimore, MD. However, this member has generously agreed to continue on with MSBPL TAB as a correspondent in the field. So here is our first update from Kiersten:

As you know  my family and I recently moved to Severna Park, Maryland. It is a huge community right by the water, and the people are extremely nice once you get to know them. The only real pests are the mosquitoes. The fiends fly all day and night low to the ground and I’ll add they are SO ANNOYING!!!

Severna Park High School, or SPHS, is so massive it’s ridiculous. You need a map just to get around the place (which the school generously provides). The curriculum here is a lot harder than in Rockwood. There are a few classes I’ll have to retake here that I wasted a year learning in Pennsylvania. So people, study hard! You never know when you might move, or where you will move to, so it is best to stay on top of ALL of your classes; especially foreign languages!

Baltimore's Inner Harbor

It is really nice here with stores nearby and the weather being nice and warm, but I’ll miss all the snow (but definitely not all the snow shoveling:). The city is awesome, and very busy, but if you get the chance to visit Maryland take it because it is a boatful of fun.

Anyway fellow TAB members, keep working hard and if you have any questions about my move or about the city leave a comment here.
